Branding Strategy
The American Classic Arcade Museum has a very colorful and vibrant atmosphere, which really does project how arcade games were designed in the mid and late 1900’s. My re-branding goal was to correlate my design to the atmosphere that the museum, and retro arcade games project. For instance, colorful squares portraying pixelation will be seen often in the re-brand, especially in the logo itself. Due to the American Classic Arcade Museum having such a vibrant, and enthusiastic atmosphere, the typography in the re-brand is rather mild, yet still holds a subtle, geometric theme to relate to the retro arcade game aesthetic.

Logo Process: Top Five Original Ideas for the Re-designed Logo.
Re-designed Logo
The Logo process started with 100 hand-drawn sketches, and then I chose five to digitally design on Adobe Illustrator. The logo is Inspired by this colorful old fashioned arcade atmosphere, that involve a vibrant gradient of colored pixels. My goal was to mask the design methods of arcade games made back in the day. From research I noticed that designs in arcade culture were very geometric, colorful, and pixelated. I decided to combine these three elements, to create a logo designed with squares to represent the pixelation element. I also utilized a colorful gradient of bright colors to correlate to the colorful, vibrant aesthetic that this museum, and arcade games project. I also chose a specifically geometric typeface for the word mark to go along with the geometric aspect of arcade design.
Color Choice
The Choice of utilizing similar colors including: Mild
Yellow (#F7C015,) Calming Orange (#F9A21B,) Sunset
