Typology Photographic Series:
I decided to choose the seven social media apps that I use the most on my phone, and that are taking up a lot of my time. The social media logo is shown on my iPhone screen, and is covering the eyes of my friend to dramatize how much my eyes are glued to these social media apps on my phone. The screen in the photographs are the brightest, and the element that is in focus, to show how they are “in charge,” or “controlling” my life, and what I see on a daily basis. I chose to present this series as typology, because each social media app have equal negative impacts on my life, so I found it appropriate to display each at the same angle, same lighting, and in the same environment.
